SriMithuru New Year Festival will be held on 10 th April 2021.  We invite you to book the day and join.

Venue:   Mount Waverley Primary School Ground (Entry via Toirram Rd), 37-45 Park Lane, Mount Waverley, VIC 3149

It will be an unforgettable event for all age groups to participate Sri Lankan new year traditional games and taste foods which will be prepared and brought to the table with tea and coffee.

Venue:   Jells Park, Waverley Netball Centre, Waverley Rd, Wheelers Hill

Netball matches for kids and adults and an Elle game for all ages will be played, followed by a BBQ.

SriMithuru Cultural and Entertainment Night will be held at Clayton Town Hall, 264 Clayton Rd, Clayton VIC 3168 (Mel Ref. 79,C2) on Saturday 29th April 2017.  The function will start with traditional oil lamp lighting at 6:00 PM followed by fancy dress parade. If you would like your child to take part in this Fancy Dress Parade, please contact one of the organising committee members.

We successfully concluded our SriMithuru New Year outdoor games 2016, on 9th April at Mt Waverley Primary School, Mount Waverley. Games started with Marathon at 11:00 AM and continued until 4 PM. The day was wonderful, bright and blessed to the event to conduct all the items smoothly.  It is very encouraging to see a huge number of participants including kids and grandparents to the event, warmly welcome new families to SriMithuru bond, enjoying the games.

It was unforgettable to see and taste the New Year traditional foods which were prepared and brought to the table with tea & coffee. “Rabana” is continuing to shine the event and more popular with our parents.

SriMithuru joined the Tree Day 2015 which was held on Sunday, 26th July 2015 from 10:00 am to 1:00pm.

SriMithuru Cultural and Entertainment Night will be held at Noble Park Community Centre, Memorial Drive on Saturday 16th May 2015.  The function will start with traditional oil lamp lighting by the senior participants’ followed by fancy dress parade.If you would like your child to

take part in this Fancy Dress Parade, please contact one of the organisingcommittee members.

Colourful cultural performances will stat at 7 pm. Dinner will be served from 8:30 pm. Band Mystry will entertain the participant from 9 pm till mid night.

Dinner, Tea/Coffee is available throughout the night. BYO drinks.

SriMithuru Sinhala/Tamil New Year 2015 outdoor traditonal games was held at Sussex Heights Primary School ground, Mount Waverley  on 11th of April, 2015. It was a day with friends and relatives and fun filled day for the participants.

Key events:

10.30 am: Games started with Marathon

12.30 pm: Awurudu Kema Mesaya - Plenty of  traditional Sri Lankan food and drinks were there to share everyone

Coffee and Tea was available throughout the day.
